Brazil’s Top 50 Betting Brands Before the September 2026 Ban: Football, Media and Technology

In the August 2026 pre-ban snapshot, Betano, bet365 and Superbet led estimated brand searches, while sponsorships and acquisitions revealed different business approaches.

AskSpinner Brazil Top 50 casino brands market research report, August 2026 historical snapshot.

Historical snapshot: this article examines AskSpinner’s August 20, 2026 research, before Brazil’s September 25 prohibition. As reviewed on October 21, 2026, the Ministry of Finance’s guidance, updated October 7, says Provisional Measure 1,394/2026 prohibits operating, offering, intermediating and advertising fixed-odds sports betting and online games nationwide. The rankings and commercial arrangements discussed below describe the earlier market, not currently available or authorized services.

Betano, bet365 and Superbet led AskSpinner’s August brand-search table. Their positions open up a bigger story: club sponsorship, local acquisitions, media partnerships and very different technology purchases. Looking at those decisions alongside the full ranking helps explain what these businesses were building beyond their websites.

The Top 50 records estimated monthly brand searches on August 20, 2026, not customers, betting revenue or market share.

Brazil: research top 10. From the 50-brand research list; est. monthly searches. Snapshot 20 Aug 2026.

Top 10 brands by estimated monthly branded searches in AskSpinner’s Brazil research list, 20 Aug 2026.

The leaders had different kinds of visibility

Betano led with an estimated twenty-nine million monthly brand searches, followed by bet365 with over twelve million and Superbet with ten million. The businesses behind those totals had different sponsorship, ownership and technology arrangements.

Betano sponsored both the European Championship and Copa America in summer 2024 and secured naming rights to Brazil’s Serie A. By the end of 2025, it held naming rights to both Serie A and Copa do Brasil. Its August 2025 agreement as Flamengo’s main front-of-shirt sponsor added a club partnership to those competition-level deals.

The separate composite Top 20 placed bet365 first at 89.33, just ahead of Betano at 89.29. Betano led estimated brand searches, while bet365 led the composite index: the two tables measure different aspects of visibility.

Superbet and Sportingbet ranked third and fifth in estimated brand searches. Their club agreements covered different sets of sponsorship assets.

Superbet announced its Fluminense partnership in April 2024, taking the main front-of-shirt position for the men’s and women’s teams for three seasons. Sportingbet’s January 2025 Palmeiras agreement covered match shirts, training apparel, warm-up gear and travel equipment. It also included naming rights for TV Palmeiras and Palmeiras Cast, extending the sponsorship into club-produced media.

Entain, Sportingbet’s parent, reported 21% year-on-year growth in Brazilian online net gaming revenue at constant currency in the first half of 2025. Management cited localized product improvements, the Sportingbet brand’s revitalization, changes to acquisition methods and momentum from the Palmeiras partnership. This was management’s account of several business initiatives, rather than a separately measured return from the sponsorship.

Why the Flutter–NSX deal mattered

Betnacional stood fourth with more than three million estimated monthly searches; Betfair was twelfth at about six hundred thousand. Their different positions sat within a shared corporate development.

In May 2025, Flutter completed its NSX transaction. It contributed approximately US$350 million in cash and its existing Betfair Brazil operations for a 56% stake in the combined business. NSX, Betnacional’s parent, had operated in Brazil since 2021.

Flutter said the combination would bring NSX’s local brands and management together with its own pricing, risk management and content capabilities. The deal joined an established local business to the international group’s technology and operating resources.

BetMGM’s media partnership

BetMGM ranked fourteenth with roughly four hundred and eighty thousand estimated monthly brand searches. Its Brazilian entry was built around a media joint venture.

MGM Resorts and Grupo Globo announced the venture in August 2024, intending to operate under the BetMGM brand. It was separate from the North American business with Entain. The Brazilian plan combined MGM’s entertainment brand, LeoVegas sports betting technology and Globo’s media network.

The announcement put Globo’s daily reach at about seventy million people. That was the media group’s audience, not the venture’s customer base. The agreement illustrates a different route into the earlier Brazilian market from buying a local operator or sponsoring a football club.

KTO and Rei do Pitaco chose different technology deals

The middle ranks included 7Games, Vaidebet, Afun, Aposta Ganha, Stake and Betboom, with monthly search estimates between one hundred and seventy thousand and two hundred and twelve thousand. KTO and Rei do Pitaco provide two examples of technology procurement elsewhere in the list.

KTO, ranked twenty-second, signed with Kambi in 2024 to replace its previous third-party platform with a complete turnkey sportsbook. A supplier interview highlighted local sports content and product capabilities. KTO was buying a full service rather than a single component.

Rei do Pitaco, ranked twenty-ninth, began in 2019 with mobile football fantasy sports. By Kambi’s December 2022 announcement, it had accumulated more than 3.4 million app downloads. A new long-term Odds Feed+ agreement in 2024 replaced the earlier turnkey agreement. Where KTO chose a complete platform, Rei do Pitaco moved to an odds-feed service.

The rest of the fifty-brand field

ONABET, NOVIBET, BULLSBET and BLAZE recorded about 1.71 million, 1.60 million, 1.20 million and 913,000 monthly searches respectively. BETÃO, PIXBET and 7K followed in the next band. VBET, APOSTATUDO, ESPORTIVA BET, ESPORTES DA SORTE, BRAZINO777 and MULTIBET extended the field below them.

Further down were ESTRELABET, BETVIP, BANDBET and MCGAMES. CASA DE APOSTAS recorded 54,700 and BRXBET 51,005. Keeping these smaller totals alongside the leaders preserves the breadth of measured brand attention in August.

A separate view: the composite Top 20

This separate Top 20 uses a composite research index rather than the brand-search totals in the main Top 50. The two tables describe different aspects of visibility and should not be read as interchangeable rankings.

Summary

Before the September prohibition, Brazil’s betting brands were pursuing club media partnerships, local acquisitions, a national media joint venture and different technology contracts. The August Top 50 records that earlier distribution of attention.

Research methodology

The August 20, 2026 study examined 216 betting-brand entities, checking identities and regulatory status against dated Brazilian SPA records. Ahrefs Keywords Explorer provided Brazil-specific brand-search estimates for the Top 50. The separate Top 20 also draws on Site Explorer estimates of organic traffic, non-brand visibility, keyword coverage and recent traffic changes. These tables describe different aspects of search visibility, rather than market share.
