Nolimit City surrenders its UK Gambling Commission licence

Nolimit City, the Malta-based slot studio owned by Evolution, no longer holds its own UK Gambling Commission licence. The Commission's public register lists the company's remote licence, covering Gambling Software and Game Host (Casino), as surrendered, with both activities ending on October 25, 2026. The register gives no reason.

Overview

  • The UK Gambling Commission register lists Nolimit City Limited (account 52097\) licence 052097-R-329532-010 as Surrendered.
  • The licence covered two remote activities, Gambling Software and Game Host (Casino), held from October 26, 2018 to October 25, 2026.
  • The Commission defines a surrendered licence as one "given up by the business as it is no longer required."
  • Nolimit City's B2B Critical Supply licence from the Malta Gaming Authority, MGA/B2B/299/2015, is still listed as licensed.
  • Evolution Malta Holding Limited, the group's UK licensee at the same St Julian's address, holds an active remote licence for the same two activities.
  • Evolution's interim report for January to September 2026 does not mention the change.

Nolimit City, the slot studio owned by Evolution, no longer holds its own licence from the UK Gambling Commission. The Commission's public register lists the remote licence of Nolimit City Limited, account 52097, as surrendered.

According to the register, licence 052097-R-329532-010 covered two remote activities, Gambling Software and Game Host (Casino). Both are shown as running from October 26, 2018 to October 25, 2026, and both carry the status "Surrendered." The Commission's register defines that status as a licence "given up by the business as it is no longer required." The entry does not give a reason.

Nolimit City's other licences

Nolimit City is based in St Julian's, Malta, and has been part of Evolution since 2022. The Malta Gaming Authority's licence verification page still lists the company's B2B Critical Supply licence, MGA/B2B/299/2015, as licensed for casino and lottery games.

In Britain, the register shows Evolution Malta Holding Limited, account 41655, at the same St Julian's address, holding an active remote licence, 041655-R-322523-013, for Gambling Software and Game Host (Casino). The register does not say whether Nolimit City games will be supplied to British operators under that licence.

What Evolution has disclosed

Evolution's interim report for January to September 2026, published October 23, does not mention the Nolimit City licence. The report's legal section refers to the Commission's review of Evolution Malta Holding Limited's licence under Section 116 of the Gambling Act 2005, which Evolution said in July had ended in a £4.75 million settlement. Evolution had not made a public statement on the Nolimit City surrender as of November 3.
