Casino Account Suspended or Frozen? How to Appeal
Casino account suspended, frozen or locked? Find out why, gather your evidence, and send a clear appeal to get access or your balance back.
A locked account is stressful, especially with money in it. Most locks have a reason the casino can tell you, and many can be fixed. This guide walks you through finding the reason, writing an appeal, and escalating if the casino won't answer.
Check these three things first:
- Any email, SMS or inbox message from the casino about the lock.
- Whether you can still log in (and just can't play or withdraw), or can't log in at all.
- Your current balance, from your last screenshot or transaction history.
Common reasons and what to do
| Likely reason | What to do |
|---|---|
| KYC not done or rejected | Complete or fix your verification. See our KYC rejected guide. |
| Too many wrong passwords or a new device | Use the official "forgot password" option or ask support to unlock it. |
| Name or payment account mismatch | Use a GCash, Maya or bank account in your own name, and ask support how to update it. |
| Bonus terms issue | Ask which rule they applied. See withdrawing before wagering is complete. |
| Duplicate account | Tell support which account is yours. Don't open another one. |
| Under 21, restricted or self-excluded | This can't be appealed. Ask how any balance will be handled. |

Casinos describe locks in their own words. Ask support which one applies to you.
What the rules say
PAGCOR's Revised Regulatory Framework for Remote Gaming Platforms says licensed platforms must run KYC for all players on a continuing basis. It also says platforms must use PAGCOR's National Database of Restricted Persons and suspend or cancel accounts of people listed there. So a lock tied to KYC or the restricted list is part of the rules, not necessarily a mistake.
Step 1: Get the reason in writing
Contact support through the casino's official live chat or email and ask: "Why is my account locked, and what do I need to do to unlock it?" Ask for a ticket number. Don't accept "under review" with no reason; ask what is being reviewed.
Step 2: Gather your evidence
- Your username and registered email or mobile
- Screenshots of your balance and recent transactions
- Deposit and withdrawal reference numbers
- The lock message, and your chats with support
- Any document they asked for (ID, selfie, proof of payment account)
Step 3: Send one clear appeal
Keep it short and factual. A simple template:
Hello, my account [username] was locked on [date]. Your message said [reason]. I have attached [documents]. Please review and unlock my account, or tell me in writing what else you need. My balance at the time was [amount]. Ticket number: [number].

Send it once, through the official channel. Note the date and follow up after a reasonable time if there's no reply.
Step 4: Escalate if there's no fair answer
- If the casino gives no reason, ignores you, or keeps your balance without explanation, submit a complaint to AskSpinner with your evidence.
- For PAGCOR-licensed casinos, use the Online Gaming Platform Helpdesk on PAGCOR's official contact page.
- Not sure the casino is licensed? Read our PAGCOR licence guide.

If you locked it on purpose
If you asked for a break or self-exclusion, the lock is protecting you. PAGCOR self-exclusion's first six months can't be cancelled. See PAGCOR self-exclusion: how to apply.
Red flags: stop and don't pay
- Someone asks for an "unlock fee" or "account recovery fee".
- A "support agent" contacts you first on social media offering to unfreeze your account.
- You're asked for your password, MPIN or one-time code.
Real support never needs these. See gambling anti-fraud.
Quick checklist
- Got the lock reason and a ticket number
- Saved balance, transactions and chats
- Fixed the cause (KYC, payment account, password)
- Sent one clear appeal through the official channel
- Did not open a second account
- Escalated to AskSpinner Complaints or PAGCOR if there's no fair answer
Payment issues too? See withdrawal not in GCash and deposit not credited.
FAQ
Will I lose my balance if my account is closed?
Not automatically. Ask the casino in writing how your balance will be handled, and keep your screenshots.
How long does an appeal take?
There's no single official time. Ask support for an expected date and follow up if it passes.
Should I open a new account to keep playing?
No. A duplicate account is a common reason for locks and can get both accounts closed.
Can a casino lock my account because of my age?
Yes. PAGCOR's framework only allows people aged 21 and above to register on licensed platforms.
