Here you can find detailed review information about Big Bass Bonanza by Pragmatic Play.
1. A fishing slot with a clear bonus goal
Big Bass Bonanza separates seeing a fish from catching it. This original Pragmatic Play and Reel Kingdom game uses five reels, three rows and ten fixed paylines. Fish can pay on those lines, while their MONEY values are collected by Fisherman Wilds during free spins.
I like its readable collection goal and visible Wild meter. The trade-off is a quiet base game: 43 of our 50 paid demo spins returned nothing, and one natural bonus changed the overall result.
What I liked
✅ Ten fixed paylines make ordinary results easier to follow than a large changing Ways grid.
✅ Fish collection and the four-Wild milestone give free spins a clear purpose.
✅ The recorded bonus shows Wild substitution and fish collection, making the two jobs easy to separate.
What I didn’t like
❌ Long quiet stretches made the base game feel repetitive in this sample.
❌ Fish amounts on ordinary reels can look like cash already won, although collection needs free spins.
❌ The captured portrait layouts shrink the horizontal game, leaving controls and Help text small.
This review covers the original vs10bbbonanza. Pragmatic Play’s official introduction identifies this release; Bigger, Splash and 1000 are separate games.
Philippine search interest. Ahrefs, queried for PH on 6 October 2026, estimated 200 monthly searches for “big bass bonanza”, 40 for “big bass bonanza demo” and 10 for “big bass bonanza rtp”. These are keyword estimates, not player counts. The main term mixes the original with series pages and 1000. “Big bass bonanza review” returned 0; the requested “rules” and “original” variants returned no rows, which is missing coverage rather than measured zero.
Captured views from the first ordinary demo spin, ending with no payout. This spin is included in the 50-spin sample.
2. Reading the screen and controls
The underwater backdrop, bright card ranks and oversized fishing equipment are distinct on the desktop layout. Gold fish panels show MONEY values; the jumping fish marked SCATTER starts free spins. The Fisherman Wild and its progress strip belong to the feature.

The complete 1920 × 855 desktop view after paid spin 50: CREDIT $100,001.75 and BET $0.10.
Reels: Five columns, three rows and ten fixed paylines.
CREDIT: Current balance; its amount label switches cash and coin display.
BET: Total ordinary-spin stake, not the per-line stake.
WIN / status: Win counter or idle message; payout is before the spin cost.
Spin: Starts the next spin.
Autoplay: Opens automatic-spin settings.
Speed: Normal, Quick Spin and Turbo options.
Lower bet: Decreases the stake; dimmed at the captured minimum.
Raise bet: Increases the stake.
Settings: Menu for the options described in Help.
Help: Six pages covering the paytable, bonus, lines and controls.
Sound: Sound/music control.
Fish MONEY: Potential collection values, not cash automatically credited in the base game.
At the minimum stake, the bet panel showed ten lines × one coin × $0.01 = $0.10. Coin view displayed BET 10. The inspected Autoplay panel offered 100 spins; it was not started. The session used Normal speed for spin 1 and Turbo for spins 2–50.

In desktop viewport simulations at 390 × 844 and 360 × 800, the horizontal game occupied a narrow band with black space above and below. Labels and the opened Help page were small. The 844 × 390 landscape layout used more screen height and was easier to inspect.

390 × 844 main screen and Help, then 360 × 800 main screen. Only black top and bottom margins are trimmed from the taller views; game pixels retain their original scale.

3. How paylines and symbols pay
Ordinary wins begin on the leftmost reel and continue through adjacent reels on a fixed payline. Each line pays its highest matching combination; different line wins add together. Most symbols need three matches. The bobber also pays for two.
One-line awards at the recorded $0.10 total bet
Symbol | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 |
|---|---|---|---|---|
Bobber | $0.05 | $0.50 | $2.00 | $20.00 |
Fishing rod | — | $0.30 | $1.50 | $10.00 |
Dragonfly / tackle box | — | $0.20 | $1.00 | $5.00 |
Fish | — | $0.10 | $0.50 | $2.00 |
A / K / Q / J / 10 | — | $0.05 | $0.25 | $1.00 |
These are awards for one qualifying line. Do not multiply them by ten again. A three-K award of $0.05 is five times the $0.01 line stake, but half the $0.10 total spin cost.
The Fisherman Wild appears only during free spins and substitutes for every symbol except Scatter. In the recorded feature, K–K–Wild on the middle line paid $0.05. That substitution win and the Wild’s fish collection were both included in the eventual $5.60 feature award.

Paid spin 34’s feature: “LINE 1 PAYS $0.05” illustrates substitution. The counters are still in progress.
4. Fish collection and the Wild meter
Three, four or five Scatters anywhere award 10, 15 or 20 free spins. Each Fisherman Wild in the feature collects all visible fish MONEY values. The possible fish values shown in Help are 2×, 5×, 10×, 15×, 20×, 25×, 50× and 2,000× the total bet. At a $0.10 stake, a 5× fish means $0.50 for collection.
Stage | Condition | Award |
|---|---|---|
Initial feature | 3 / 4 / 5 Scatters | 10 / 15 / 20 free spins |
First retrigger | Fourth collected Wild | 10 more spins; 2× collection |
Second retrigger | Next four Wilds | 10 more spins; 3× collection |
Third retrigger | Next four Wilds | 10 more spins; 10× collection |
Each extra batch plays after the previous batch ends, using its new collection multiplier. There is no fourth retrigger. Help also describes special feature reels and a possible random addition of fish at the end of a free spin with exactly one Wild on screen. These are possible outcomes, not promises.

The tested build’s Help: Wilds advance the retrigger meter; the number of collected fish does not.
The natural feature on paid spin 34
Three Scatters awarded ten free spins from an ordinary $0.10 paid spin. CREDIT moved from $99,997.40 to $99,997.30 after that stake.

Paid spin 34: the trigger and the 10 FREE SPINS introduction.
One collection screen shows fish labeled $0.50, $0.50, $1.00, $1.00 and $1.50, totaling $4.50 before the current 1× collection multiplier. The Wild and WIN counters are still animating, so these values are not another settled payout.

Fish collection during the natural feature; the top strip tracks collected Wilds.
The feature finished at $5.60, with three Wild portraits lit and no retrigger. The award screen’s wallet was still counting; the return to the ordinary screen confirmed CREDIT $100,002.90. The complete $5.60 is counted once under paid spin 34, whose net change was $5.60 − $0.10 = +$5.50.

5. Bet costs, RTP and limits
All 50 paid spins used $0.10 in USD-marked virtual demo credit. Help listed a $0.10–$250 bet range. The inspected main screen, bet panel and Help showed no BUY or Ante entry; this session used ordinary spins only.
Parameter | This demo build | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
Theoretical RTP | 96.71% | Long-run theoretical value |
Volatility label | LOW VOLATILITY | The label in this build’s Help |
Maximum total win | 2,100× total bet | $210 at a $0.10 stake |
Largest fish MONEY value | 2,000× total bet | A collection value, distinct from the round cap |
The existing game listing gives 95.67% RTP. The 96.71% figure in this review belongs specifically to the recorded demo build, so check the Help for the configuration you actually open rather than assuming every casino uses the same setting.
The LOW label is not a promise of frequent profit. This sample still included twelve consecutive zero-payout spins. At the 2,100× total-round limit, Help says the award is capped and remaining feature play is forfeited. The slot simulator can illustrate general stake and bankroll scenarios; it does not reproduce this game’s undisclosed reel mathematics.

Help ties the 96.71% RTP, LOW label, ten paylines and $0.10–$250 range to the inspected configuration.
6. What the 50-spin sample shows
The 6 October 2026 session contains 50 settled ordinary paid demo spins at $0.10 each. Spin 1’s video is included. The ten natural free spins belong to their triggering paid spin, rather than being counted as ten more paid bets.
Measure | Recorded result |
|---|---|
Start → end credit | $100,000.00 → $100,001.75 |
Actual cost / settled payout | $5.00 / $6.75 |
Net change | +$1.75 |
Sample return | 135.00% |
Positive-payout / net-profit spins | 7 / 5 |
Zero-payout / net-loss spins | 43 / 45 |
Break-even spins | 0 |
Longest zero-payout run | 12 spins, paid spins 22–33 |
Longest net-loss run | 24 spins, paid spins 10–33 |
Largest paid-spin payout | $5.60 on spin 34 (56× cost) |
Natural feature | One ten-free-spin round; no retrigger |
Spin 34 supplied 82.96% of the total payout. The other 49 paid spins cost $4.90 and returned $1.15. Two paying spins returned only $0.05 against a $0.10 stake, so a payout did not always mean a profit.

Settled balance, including the $100,000 starting point. The feature is counted once at spin 34.

Cumulative sample return from spin 1. The final 135% is $6.75 ÷ $5.00, not theoretical RTP.

Whole-spin payout minus actual cost. Spin 34 contributes +$5.50, including its free spins.
This run shows a gradual balance decline, one feature-driven jump and a smaller decline afterward. It does not establish long-run volatility, the next bonus’s likelihood or an advantage from changing speed. The dollar amounts are demo credit, not peso stakes or withdrawable winnings.
7. Verdict and a useful comparison
Review score: 7.5/10. Big Bass Bonanza suits readers who want familiar line rules and one clear bonus objective. Fish collection and the Wild-progress strip provide its strongest moment. Repetitive stretches in our base-game sample and small portrait controls temper the recommendation. The score reflects design and observed usability, not the sample profit.
Dimension | Big Bass Bonanza original | Mahjong Ways by PG Soft |
|---|---|---|
Wins | Ten fixed lines across 5 × 3 reels | 1,024 Ways |
After a win | The spin settles | Winning tiles disappear and new tiles cascade |
Wild role | Free-spin substitution and fish collection | Winning gold-plated tiles become Wilds on the next cascade |
Feature focus | Wild milestones and collection multipliers | Free-spin cascade multipliers of 2×, 4×, 6× and 10× |
Best fit | A discrete result and collection bonus | Successive board changes and Ways calculations |
Choose this original for the fish-and-collector relationship. The Mahjong Ways review is a useful next read if cascading boards appeal more. This is a comparison of mechanics, not which game pays more. Keep the full Big Bass title in view: the sequels have their own rules and limits.
