Here you can find detailed review information about Starlight Princess by Pragmatic Play.
1. An anime slot with multipliers in the ordinary game
Starlight Princess is most interesting when a modest tumble meets several winged-heart multipliers. I like being able to see that combination in ordinary play, rather than waiting for a free-spin feature. The catch is that a multiplier still needs a paying result to work with, and the colourful celebration can make it easy to lose track of the actual cost and final payout.
My provisional score is 7.5/10 for the recorded ordinary-game experience. The pay-anywhere board and visible multiplier finish are appealing; competing stake labels and small text in the portrait capture make the controls less straightforward. The score reflects those design choices, not the profit from this short demo sample.
What I liked
✅ The sun, moon, stars and gems have distinct outlines that make the 6×5 board easy to scan.
✅ Pay-anywhere counting removes the need to trace fixed winning lines.
✅ Multipliers can contribute during ordinary spins; spin 43 gives a clear, recorded example of values adding before the final award.
✅ The Help provides count bands and stake-scaled cash awards, making the ordinary paytable practical to check.
What I didn’t like
❌ The large $0.25 Double Chance quote competes with the active $0.20 BET at the bottom.
❌ A multiplier on screen can still leave a zero-payout spin, as the recorded 6× result did.
❌ The portrait Help capture has large black margins and very small rules text.
❌ The award celebration counts through intermediate amounts, so the displayed WIN and moving wallet need time to settle.
This is the original Starlight Princess by Pragmatic Play, identified as vs20starlight. The 1000 and Super Scatter editions are separate games. The supplier’s launch announcement places the original in September 2021. The rules below refer to the seven Help pages captured in the reviewed demo on 6 October 2026.
Philippine search interest. Ahrefs estimated 450 monthly searches in the Philippines for “starlight princess”, 150 for “starlight princess demo” and 40 for “starlight princess slot”, queried on 6 October 2026. These are keyword-search estimates, not player counts or visits to this page, and should not be added together. Results also mix in newer editions, so the title matters when comparing rules.
The demo lets you study the game with virtual credits. Its results do not establish real-money returns. Before choosing a casino, check the listed operator’s game availability, eligibility requirements and terms.
Recorded process excerpt. This silent 10-second screenshot-based excerpt shows part of spin 26 at its recorded pace. The wallet is still settling at the end; the completed spin paid $0.10. It is not a complete-spin or bonus demonstration.
2. Reading the screen and opening the controls
A sky castle and red-haired princess surround the six-column, five-row board. The lower-value gems and higher-value celestial emblems are visually distinct. BUY FREE SPINS and Double Chance sit to the left; the wallet, stake and play controls run along the bottom.

The full interface is shown during spin 43, before its multiplier settlement. The $0.59 WIN and $99,993.88 CREDIT are in-progress values at this point.
Board: count matching ordinary symbols across all 30 positions.
Tumble total: the sequence award being accumulated above the board.
Multiplier symbol: a winged heart showing a multiplier value; the blue example reads 10×.
Award list: the contributing symbol counts and awards within the current tumble.
CREDIT: the demo wallet; wait for final settlement before reconciling it.
BET: the active ordinary stake, $0.20 in the recorded sample.
BUY FREE SPINS: the $20 purchase quote at this ordinary stake; no purchase was made.
Double Chance: the optional $0.25 quote and OFF state, separate from the active ordinary stake.
Minus: reduces the stake and opens its controls.
Plus: increases the stake and opens its controls.
Spin/stop: starts play and changes appearance during a spin; the image shows the active stop state.
Autoplay/speed: opens speed and automatic-spin settings.
Menu: opens system settings.
Sound: the audio control; no listening assessment was recorded.
Information: opens Help and the paytable.
WIN: the current payout counter, which may still be changing.
Stake, speed and settings

The stake panel shows BET MULTIPLIER 20x, BET 1 and COIN VALUE $0.01, producing TOTAL BET $0.20. The 20x is a stake-setting multiplier, not 20 fixed paylines. Normal was used for spins 4–6 and 26–28; the other 44 used Turbo. The visible autoplay quantity of 100 was a panel setting, not evidence that 100 spins ran: all 50 sample spins were individually recorded.

The menu documents the available introductory-screen, ambient-audio, sound-effect and history controls. Seeing those options does not establish that every option was tested. No audio was captured, so I have not rated the music, effects or synchronisation. CREDIT and BET can also switch between cash and coin displays; confirm which view is active before comparing amounts.
Small-screen evidence

The left panel shows the compact game view; the right shows the Help with black margins removed for readability. The original 390×844 Help image reduced the rules to small text. These desktop-size captures are useful for recognising the controls, but they do not establish a real-phone or controlled orientation comparison.

The two 844×390 images show the horizontal screen and an opened stake panel. In the right-hand image, BET is still $0.40. The later restored desktop capture confirms $0.20 again and the unchanged final wallet of $100,006.78; no extra spin was taken. Plus and minus change the stake, so they should not be treated as harmless menu-open buttons. Physical-phone touch, mobile-browser performance and Philippine network conditions were not tested.
3. Count matching symbols, then check the whole-spin result
Ordinary wins need at least eight matching symbols anywhere on the 6×5 board. The three payout bands are 8–9, 10–11 and 12–30. Symbols do not need to touch or begin on the leftmost reel. Qualifying awards from more than one symbol type are added.
Winning symbols disappear, the remaining symbols fall and new symbols fill the gaps. Another qualifying result continues the tumble. Those replacements belong to the same paid spin; they do not each create another stake. The current Help does not list a Wild or a progressive-jackpot mechanism.

Ordinary awards as multiples of the total ordinary bet. The captured Help above used $2.00, while the sample used $0.20. The symbol atlas lists each symbol’s payout bands; compare bet multiples to avoid confusing the two stakes. Appearance names describe the artwork.

Spin 2 makes the conversion concrete: the award list records nine turquoise symbols for $0.08, equal to 0.4× the $0.20 stake. The final wallet was $99,999.68: $99,999.80 − $0.20 + $0.08. A payout occurred, but the spin lost $0.12 net. The pictured board has already refilled, so the list identifies the earlier paying count.
The Princess SCATTER has separate awards: four, five or six pay 3×, 5× or 100× the ordinary total bet. At $0.20 these work out to $0.60, $1 and $20. Four or more also trigger free spins. The four coloured winged-heart multiplier appearances are separate from the ordinary yellow-heart badge; none is a Wild or a standalone cash-paying symbol.
4. How the multipliers change a tumble

Multiplier hearts can appear in ordinary play and free spins. The current Help lists 2×, 3×, 4×, 5×, 6×, 8×, 10×, 12×, 15×, 20×, 25×, 50×, 100×, 250× and 500×. At the end of a tumble sequence, the values on screen are added, then that sum multiplies the total sequence award. They are not multiplied by one another.

The left image shows the recorded spin 43 at $0.59, with a green 3× and two blue 10× hearts. The right image is its final result: WIN $13.57 and CREDIT $100,007.45. The arithmetic matches the visible sequence: $0.59 × (3 + 10 + 10) = $13.57. Its net gain was $13.37 after the $0.20 cost. The final WIN is recorded once; the intermediate counter and individual tumble awards are not extra payouts.

Spin 4 illustrates the other side of the feature: a green 6× remained visible, but there was no paying ordinary combination and the final payout was zero. A multiplier needs an award to multiply. Its arrival alone does not cover the stake.
Free spins and the accumulated multiplier

Four or more Scatters start 15 free spins. During the feature, three or more add five spins, and special reels are used. When a new multiplier lands on a winning free spin, its value joins the accumulated multiplier. Later winning free spins with a new multiplier use that accumulated value too. The qualifying new-multiplier condition matters; the Help does not promise that every free spin receives the same multiplier.
No natural free-spin feature triggered in this sample, so there is no measured bonus payout, retrigger experience or bonus pace here. The explanation above is the captured Help rule.
Double Chance and BUY FREE SPINS
Double Chance is the Ante Bet option. It changes the stake multiplier from 20x to 25x: the $0.20 ordinary setting becomes a quoted $0.25, a 25% cost increase. The Help says it doubles the natural free-spin trigger chance by adding Scatters to the reels, and disables the purchase option. It does not state the absolute trigger probability.
With ordinary play selected, BUY FREE SPINS quotes $20 at this stake, matching the Help’s 100× current-total-bet price. Both were inspected as rules and entry quotes. Double Chance stayed OFF, no $0.25 stakes were taken and no feature was bought. This sample cannot tell you which optional route offers a better experience.
5. Separate the cost, RTP and maximum award
The recorded amounts are USD-denominated free-demo credits, not Philippine pesos. The sample verifies the minimum ordinary stake of $0.20. Help lists $300.00 as the maximum stake, but no maximum-stake spin or other operator’s configuration was tested.
Item | Recorded or stated value | Scope |
|---|---|---|
Ordinary cost | $0.20 per spin | 50 settled spins |
Double Chance cost | $0.25 at this base setting | Quote and Help only |
Feature purchase | $20 = 100× $0.20 | Quote and Help only |
Theoretical RTP | 96.50% for ordinary, Ante and BUY | Current captured Help |
Volatility | MEDIUM in current Help | Historical supplier announcement says High |
Maximum total round win | 5,000× bet | Help rule; not reached |

The three 96.50% entries describe the current Help configuration. They do not mean any 50-spin session should return that percentage. The supplier’s 2021 launch announcement describes high volatility, while this Help says MEDIUM. I would check the actual operator’s Help rather than flatten those sources into one universal label.

The 5,000× cap is the total round limit, distinct from the 500× largest listed multiplier symbol. Help says reaching the cap ends the round and forfeits remaining features. Neither limit was reached in the recorded session.
The slot simulator can help illustrate why short samples vary. It should not be treated as a reconstruction of Starlight Princess’s unpublished maths or a predictor of the next spin.
6. What the 50-spin demo sample actually shows
The session was recorded on 6 October 2026 from 01:13 to 01:32 UTC in the original English demo, using one wallet with no reset or top-up. All 50 spins cost $0.20 with Double Chance OFF. Six used Normal speed and 44 used Turbo; each paid spin’s final result includes its tumbles. The clip shown earlier is part of the same sample, not extra spins.
Measure | Result |
|---|---|
Settled ordinary spins | 50 |
Total cost / payout | $10.00 / $16.78 |
Opening / closing wallet | $100,000.00 / $100,006.78 |
Net change | +$6.78 |
Sample payout-to-cost ratio | 167.8% |
Nonzero-payout spins | 14 of 50 (28%) |
Net-profitable / break-even spins | 7 / 0 |
Zero-payout spins | 36 |
Longest zero-payout run | 7, spins 11–17 |
Largest payout | Spin 43, $13.57 (67.85× cost) |
Natural free-spin triggers / purchases | 0 / 0 |

The balance chart uses the recorded settled wallet after each spin, including the $100,000 starting point. It is one continuous wallet session with no reset. The change at spin 43 is a real award, not a top-up.

Cumulative sample return means payout to date divided by cost to date. The final point is $16.78 ÷ $10.00 = 167.8%. The 100% reference means sample break-even; this curve is not theoretical RTP.

Each bar is final payout minus that spin’s $0.20 cost. Fourteen spins paid something, but only seven made a net profit. Spin 43 supplied about 80.87% of all recorded payout, making this sample strongly dependent on one result.
The test gives a concrete view of ordinary tumbles and settlement. Fifty spins cannot establish long-run RTP, theoretical hit frequency or the superiority of a mode. The total is positive, but the data do not support a promise of steady returns.
7. My verdict and which alternative to consider
I would choose Starlight Princess’s demo for its anime presentation and the chance to follow a multiplier finish within ordinary play. Start slowly enough to read the award list, then compare the settled payout with the active BET. If keeping track of an extended counter feels tiring, that is a useful reason to try a different presentation.
The most useful comparison with the original Sweet Bonanza is where its multipliers operate. Their captured Help pages make that distinction clear. For a more different board-reading task, Mahjong Ways provides a Ways-based comparison.
Choice | How ordinary wins are read | Feature distinction | Who may prefer it |
|---|---|---|---|
Starlight Princess original | 8+ matching symbols anywhere on 6×5 | 2×–500× multiplier family in base and free spins; 15 initial free spins | Players who like anime art and ordinary-spin multiplier finishes |
Sweet Bonanza original | 8+ matching symbols anywhere on 6×5 | Captured Help places 2×–100× bombs only in free spins; 10 initial free spins | Players who prefer fruit and candy and a clearer separation between ordinary tumbles and bombs |
Matching symbols across adjacent reels from the left | Ways-based tile reading rather than an anywhere-count board | Players who want to follow reel combinations and a mahjong theme |
These are rule and presentation differences, not a ranking of long-term winning chances. My 7.5/10 assessment remains limited to what the ordinary session and captured controls support. The bonus round, listening experience and physical-phone performance could still change a fuller assessment.
