Here you can find detailed review information about Super Gems 2 by PLAYSTAR.
Overview
Super Gems 2 suits players who like seeing how split symbols and a separate multiplier combine on five fixed lines. The desktop controls are readable, but the narrow landscape layout and shifting menu positions need care.
What I liked
✅ Five fixed lines and WILD combinations can be checked against actual settlements.
✅ EX’s extra cost is clearly quoted and verified at 0.15 for a 0.10 base bet.
✅ Main desktop controls and portrait-simulation amounts are readable.
What I didn’t like
❌ Split factors and the center multiplier need separate explanation.
❌ The landscape simulation keeps a narrow game strip with smaller text.
❌ Moving menu controls and observed reconnect prompts complicate interaction.
Super Gems 2 builds a five-line game around split symbols, WILD substitutions and a separate multiplier reel. Our free-demo review covers 50 ordinary spins and 50 EX spins, with each accepted result checked against recorded costs, payouts and balances. The ordinary sample cost 5.00 demo units and paid 1.54; EX cost 7.50 and paid 8.66. Those are short-session observations, not a forecast or an official RTP measurement.
The underlying review was conducted on 7 October 2026 in the Asia/Shanghai time zone. All amounts below are demo units. A dollar sign appeared in the client, but the currency code was not verified and the figures must not be described as Philippine pesos. No deposit, real-money wager or cashable prize was involved.
Game background and the four reel layout
PlayStar identifies Super Gems 2 as product PSS-ON-00173. Its temple setting, gold mask WILD and colored gems surround a 4-by-3 display. That description includes the right-hand multiplier reel: the matching area is three reels by three rows, with five fixed paylines. Treating all four columns as ordinary matching reels would misread the game.
The captured official product page advertises split symbols, a multiplier wheel reaching 20x, removal of 1x in EX mode and a maximum win of 13,500x. The maximum is a provider claim, not a result reached in this review; the captured wording does not establish the bet denominator behind that multiple. The page also shows a three-star volatility indicator without a quantified definition; this short sample cannot establish a long-run volatility rating.
The official Play button did not visibly launch a playable game during the recorded attempts. The review therefore used an alternative free entry and completed the main sample in a standalone provider client for the same product. The captured help pages and later recheck show client version 69, build 11250. The alternative entry is not represented as PlayStar’s official product page, and its surrounding article was not used to establish the rules.
Visual design and controls on desktop and simulated mobile
The game concentrates its information in a tall central panel. The symbol grid and multiplier sit above the win banner, EX switch and question-mark help; the DEMO marker, balance, bet and WIN fields sit below. Speed, minus, spin, plus, an A-loop icon and the menu form the bottom controls. Sound and help are available through the expanded menu. The A-loop control was not started, so this review does not rate its autoplay settings or stopping conditions.

Desktop interface from a 1280 × 720 source viewport. The original Chinese annotations identify the symbol grid, multiplier, EX, balance, bet, WIN and bottom controls; its game panel is displayed at 1.36× for review. This interface reference is not an additional spin in the 100-spin sample.
At the 1280-by-720 desktop viewport with device-pixel ratio 1, the main balance and bet fields were readable. Amounts changing during win animations needed care: accepted results were checked only after TOTAL WIN, WIN, balance and the available spin button had settled. Four historical screenshot references were corrected because they pointed to earlier animation frames; the independently read financial amounts were not rewritten.
A 390-by-844 desktop viewport simulation kept the main controls, EX and amounts readable. At 844 by 390, the game still occupied a centered strip approximately 219 pixels wide, making balance and help text much smaller. The original landscape annotation enlarged its review panel 1.82 times; that enlarged view does not demonstrate readability at native size. These were desktop-pointer simulations, with no physical phone, touch, mobile-performance or Philippine-network test.
The menu changes position while opening. One help click before it settled accidentally started an extra ordinary demo spin, costing 0.10 and paying 0.00. That spin is documented separately and excluded from the 100-spin sample. In a separate no-spin control check, plus changed the quote from 0.10 to 0.20 without changing the balance; a reconnect interrupted the subsequent minus attempt, so a return to 0.10 and the full bet limits were not confirmed.
The recorded device was 64-bit Windows 11 Home Chinese edition, build 10.0.26200, using Codex In-app Browser. An exact browser version was unavailable. This operating-system and browser context should not be confused with the game’s version 69 and build 11250.
Five fixed paylines and the symbol paytable
Wins match adjacent symbols from the leftmost reel across the first three reels. The five fixed lines are the top, middle and bottom rows plus the two diagonals. Only the highest win on a line is paid, and wins from different lines are added. The gold mask WILD appears on those first three reels and substitutes for matching symbols. The fourth reel supplies the central multiplier rather than another symbol for a four-symbol match.
The separate symbol module supplies the pictured paytable. Its captured values use a 0.10 base-bet setting, so they are not fixed cash payouts for every possible bet. For example, a three-symbol K match displays 0.12, green gems 0.20 and Q symbols 0.10 at that setting. The “3x” beside a symbol means a three-symbol match in this paytable, not a 3x position on the multiplier wheel.
The help also displays “NEED 10 CREDITS”; that text does not establish a cost of ten currency units. The ordinary spins actually cost 0.10 each. Same-session next-spin checks found the quote still at 0.10 in 48 ordinary pairs and at 0.15 in 47 EX pairs. Session resets were excluded from that setting-retention check.
Split symbols central multipliers and EX explained
Split symbols and the multiplier wheel are separate calculation steps. According to the help, a symbol split into two or three contributes a factor of 2 or 3 on a winning line. The factors of the symbols on that same line multiply together. The help’s red-gem example shows 2 × 3 × 1; it is a static rule illustration, not a naturally triggered split win documented by this test. Although split designs were visible, a complete split-winning parent spin was not independently verified.

Captured help example: the three red-gem positions contribute split factors of 2, 3 and 1 on the same winning line. This static rule illustration is not a naturally triggered split-winning spin.
The multiplier reel lists 1x, 2x, 3x, 5x, 10x, 15x and 20x. At settlement, its central value multiplies the total of the winning lines. Values visible above or below the center are not additional factors. The captured help gives no probabilities for the individual multiplier positions.
The recorded ordinary spin S05-ORD-037 provides a clear two-line example. Its top-row K–WILD–WILD match pays 0.12, and its upward-diagonal green-gem–WILD–WILD match pays 0.20. Adding those and applying the central 2x gives (0.12 + 0.20) × 2 = 0.64. With a 0.10 cost, the balance moves from 9996.96 to 9997.50. No unobserved split factor is added to this explanation.

Ordinary mode, S05-ORD-037: two winning lines total 0.32 before the central 2x, paying 0.64 at a 0.10 cost. The checked ending balance is 9997.50 demo units.
EX spin S05-EX-009 shows three Q lines: middle row, bottom row and upward diagonal. At the normal 0.10 base-bet paytable, 0.10 × 3 × 5 gives a 1.50 payout. Its actual EX cost is 0.15, and the balance moves from 9995.64 to 9996.99. Two further checked examples were S07-EX-032, with three green-gem lines and central 5x paying 3.00, and S07-EX-034, with two K lines and central 10x paying 2.40.

EX mode, S05-EX-009: three Q lines at 0.10 each and a central 5x pay 1.50. Actual cost is 0.15 and the checked ending balance is 9996.99 demo units.
Turning on EX changed the quoted cost from 0.10 to 0.15, a 50% increase confirmed across all 50 accepted EX spins. The help says payouts still use the normal base-bet setting and paytable; charging 0.15 does not automatically increase the symbol pays by 50%. The captured official page and EX tooltip describe removing 1x and a greater chance of high multipliers, but provide no complete probability distribution or RTP.
No BUY BONUS or free-spins entry was found in the inspected main screen, expanded menu or complete eight-page help. That finding applies to the inspected client and screens. EX is an additional cost on an individual spin; it should not be described as buying an entire bonus round.
RTP uncertainty and the actual demo costs
No RTP was shown in the captured runtime help or official product-page fields. The running client’s RTP therefore remains unconfirmed. An 87% figure on an outer third-party page does not establish the provider configuration, and this review’s sample returns must not be substituted for an official RTP.
Ordinary mode: 50 verified spins, 0.10 cost per spin, 5.00 total cost, 1.54 total payout and a net result of −3.46 demo units. The sample return is 30.80%. EX mode: 50 verified spins, 0.15 cost per spin, 7.50 total cost, 8.66 total payout and a net result of +1.16 demo units. Its sample return is 115.47%.
Across the accepted 100 spins, the accounting totals are 12.50 cost, 10.20 payout and −2.30 net, or 81.60% returned. Sample return means total actual payout divided by total actual cost, multiplied by 100. It is neither an average of individual-spin percentages nor the average of the two mode percentages. Calculations use the exact recorded monetary values; the displayed percentages are rounded to two decimals.
The two 50-spin groups were not a randomized, controlled comparison and include different demo sessions. Their difference cannot establish the causal benefit of EX or its long-term value. In both groups, eight spins paid something and 42 paid zero. Only four ordinary spins and seven EX spins made a net profit after their respective costs. A positive payout alone is not the same as a profitable spin.
What the charts and normal speed video show
The verified sample spans four recorded sessions: S04 contributes three ordinary spins; S05 contributes 47 ordinary and ten EX spins; S06 contributes three EX spins; and S07 contributes 37 EX spins. S04-ORD-004 is excluded because its original balance readings conflict. That record remains unresolved rather than being repaired with an expected-value calculation. Attempts without a confirmed settlement are not counted, and the extra interface-test spin remains separate.
The balance chart breaks at session resets. A return to a 10000 demo balance starts a new baseline and is not counted as a win, refund or proven recovery. S05 ordinary and EX spins share the same balance, so those segments can connect; new sessions restart the trace. No spins or intermediate values were interpolated into the record.

Balance across 100 verified spins: 50 ordinary and 50 EX. Breaks mark new demo-session baselines, not payouts or proven refunds. S04 contributes 3 spins, S05 57, S06 3 and S07 37. The disputed S04-ORD-004 and the separate interface-test spin are excluded. Rebuilt English-label chart from the verified per-spin CSV; original evidence is retained.
Cumulative returns are calculated independently for each mode using its actual costs. The 100% reference line marks recovery of sample costs; it is not an official RTP target. The per-spin net chart subtracts the actual cost from each payout and uses different vertical ranges for its ordinary and EX panels, as labeled.

Cumulative sample return for 50 ordinary spins and 50 EX spins, calculated separately from each mode’s actual costs. Final values are 30.80% and 115.47%. The 100% dashed line marks sample cost recovery, not official RTP. Rebuilt English-label chart from the verified per-spin CSV; original evidence is retained.

Net result per verified spin equals payout minus actual cost. Ordinary costs 0.10 and EX 0.15 demo units. The two panels use different vertical scales; compare their labeled values rather than bar heights. Each mode has 8 positive payouts, but only 4 ordinary and 7 EX spins are net-positive. Rebuilt English-label chart from the verified per-spin CSV; original evidence is retained.
The largest ordinary payout was 0.64. EX payouts of 3.00 and 2.40 together contributed 5.40 of its 8.66 total, about 62.36%. A few larger results therefore drove much of this particular EX curve. That concentration cannot predict the next session or determine a long-run volatility class.
Most sample spins used the client’s fastest SUPER SPEED setting; the early records retain their actual speed states, so the 100 spins are not presented as a single-speed test. The separate normal-speed video contains one real ordinary spin, S04-ORD-002, followed by genuine idle footage. Its duration is 12.775 seconds. It was constructed from 169 timestamped source screenshots into 168 variable-frame-rate encoded frames, rather than captured as native continuous screen recording. It has no audio track, interpolated frames or invented final hold, and the reels are not spinning for the full 12.775 seconds.
The publishing video is the explicitly cropped game-area version; the full-browser version remains an audit source because it includes unrelated surrounding third-party material. Sound testing confirmed only mute and unmute icon changes. No sound quality or listening assessment was performed. Several “reconnect1” prompts occurred; reloading could start a new demo baseline, but financial recovery and the cause of the interruptions were not established.
One normal-speed ordinary demo spin, S04-ORD-002, followed by actual idle footage. Screenshot-sampled VFR video, 12.775 seconds, 168 encoded frames from 169 source screenshots, no audio. Explicit game-area crop; this is not native continuous screen recording.
Expert verdict and who the game suits
Our editorial score is 7.4 out of 10 for the inspected experience. The strongest points are the readable main desktop controls, a compact five-line structure that can be checked against actual WILD and multi-line settlements, and a clearly displayed EX price change. The temple-and-gem artwork keeps the playing area visually coherent, and the portrait desktop simulation retains readable key controls.
The main weaknesses are practical. A first-time reader has to distinguish split factors from the center-wheel multiplier, the landscape simulation shrinks important information into a narrow column, and moving menu controls require waiting for the animation. Reconnect prompts disrupted some checks, although this evidence is insufficient for a long-term reliability verdict. The score reflects those observed presentation, explanation and interaction trade-offs. It is not based on the sample’s profit or loss, and missing tests are not treated as features the game failed to deliver.
Super Gems 2 is easiest to evaluate in a free demo while learning the five lines, WILD substitutions and two distinct multiplier steps. EX makes each spin more expensive at the tested setting while leaving the base paytable calculation unchanged. The observed +1.16 EX result offers no guarantee of better future returns. Confirm the rules and available configuration in the client you actually use; this review leaves official RTP, real-phone and Philippine-network performance, audible sound, full bet limits and interrupted-session financial recovery unverified.
